#23 Summary!!!

Yeah!!! I'm finally done!! I never thought I would get this done and a few days to spare. I did learn a lot of good information that I would use, the only problem with my computer at home is all I have is dial-up.

I'm so happy I'm all most done!!! but anyway I liked Podcast.net and Yahoo podcasts I thought they were both easy to use. And I found what I was looking for. I know for sure my daugther will be checking some of this out, but she might already know about it.

#20 Special Treat

I think the general public would like and find the video to be good with a lot of information. There is so much to learn and do on the computer but for me I only have dial up at home so I don't spend to much time on the computer.

I checked out Yahoo and Pandora I liked Pandora the best I didn't have any trouble I thought it was easy to use and I would like to use it at home but I was told by one of my coworkers it would not work with dial up.

I checked out MySpace, Xanga and etc. I don't know how it comes in to play at a library I know a lot of people are on MySpace, it's just not for me.

I looked at all four the wikis that was asked, I liked SJCPL and Book Lovers the best, the other two I didn't care for, I thought SJCPL was a nice site and I got some good information, are reference staff might find these sites helpful.

#16 Technorati and Blog Tagging

I looked up scrap booking and it came up with 18,941 related tags I clicked on ideas oh my gosh it came up with 659,969 I could not believe how much was out there, I liked this it was a lot of fun and I did get some ideas for my scrapbooks.

I watched the Del.icio.us video I think it is a good recource for the reference to look things up for patrons for myself I don't think I would ever use it.

#14 Best of Web 2.0

I liked the site I looked at Judy's book it was cool you could type in zip or city and find local deals and coupons. And I also checked out biblio.com I thought it was great to use but the ratings only gave it 2nd place.

#13 Online Productivity

I think this is a great tool and would be great in a office setting, I used Zoho writer and tryed to post it to my blog but it didn't work, I will have to try this again at home.

#12 Customized Search Engines

I think I did every thing right I found it easy to use, and I learned a lot with the different sites that came up I don't know how much I would use it I don't spend that much time on the computer, and Google works good for me.

#10 Web 2.0 and Libraries

I read 3 out of the 5 I thought they all had good points you can get so much from the web, I think the younger kids like all the new technology and up dated technology but are older patrons still like the personal touch.I think that a lot of people are coming into the library to use the Internet but, also to check of materials I don't see are circulation going down because of technology.

I checked out all the different sites and I liked Topix it came up with local information, I didn't really understand Technorati, but I still like Bloglines search the best.

#8 RSS Feeds

I think I set up a account at bloglines it was pretty cool I typed in recipes and got 646,100 posts I love new recipes, but I can't imagine keeping up with 10 different online news sites. I just type in woodtv8 and that all the news I need.

# 6 Mash-Ups

Went on Montager, Flicker color pickr and retriever and some of the picture that came up were a little scary, I wanted to out a picture on my blog but technology is one of my hardest things.

#5 Photo Sharing

I think I'm going to get this yet, it is really cool to post and up load pictures, and thanks to my daughter's help. I learned a lot by doing the step's on Flicker.
